It was very close to sub 2 for Eliud Kipchoge, closer than most people could imagine! It is a difficult run, the speed that he ran for 2 hour 25 second is crazy! He is indeed King of the marathon and will be for awhile, do not think that anyone can come close at the moment.

But it would be quite awhile before anyone can do it in a real marathon race, beating the 2 hour mark.   Maybe another 3-5 years, this is good guess ?

With the current technology, it’s difficult for human to think about moving away from combustion engine. It’s the only way they can think of that will generate sustainable energy to travel over distances! Generating sustainable energy without burning too much fuel is always the issue with transportation over significant distances! Or perhaps the fuel source is the issue with human travel!

SpaceX Starship 4th IFT 6 June 2024

SpaceX is targeting to launch the 4th IFT of Starship today 6 June 2024 at 8.50 am ET. We hope to see the first stage reach a soft landing or splash down in the Gulf of Mexico and the Starship simulate a landing in the Indian Ocean if everything goes according to plan. The test just completed, both the Superheavy and Starship made it back in 1 piece, what an amazing feats!
