Ed Whitlock set a World age group half marathon record

Canadian Ed Whitlock set a world age group record in the 85-89 category for the half marathon on 24 April 2016, at the Waterloo, Milton Ontario. He covered the 21.1 km in 1 hour 50min 47sec, more than 9 minutes faster than the old record. He is still the only over 70 years old person on earth to run a sub 3 hours marathon as of today!

Space X 6th Launch of 2016

Yes, Space X successfully completed the company sixth launch of the year on the 15 June 2016. 2 satellites were deployed to GTO orbit, but the landing of the first stage boaster was a failure. There will be a break of one month before the next launch in mid July 2016. I think the next launch will be a milestone for Space X, the 7th launch of the year and the most ever in a year. If the next launch goes well, I think this will be a break through year for the company, at least a dozen launches for the full year! Looking forward to the maiden launch of the Falcon Heavy later in the year.

Ran 7.03km on 11 Jun 2016 Saturday

Just finished a 7.03km in 40min45sec according to my Garmin 620 watch, averaging 5min48sec per km. Been struggling with my runs lately, not getting in enough mileage. Need to be more relaxed during runs and rebuild my overall fitness by doing exercise that strengthen the core muscles. Must start to do longer runs to prepare for the annual Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon. I am aiming for a 4hr30min which will be a new personal best. I did 4hr59min27sec in Dec 2015.
