Exploring Beyond Earth

It's has been more than 57 years since mankind managed to get into space, but little progress has been made due to more earthly issues. Any way we cannot change history, so the best we can hope for is for more concerted effort to explore beyond our planet. I was wondering if floating a payload to say 20km and then firing the usual rocket will use less fuel and cheaper to get into orbit?

Recent failure of rocket/rocket plane, show us the pathetic state of our current technology. Anyone would have thought that after accumulating more than half a century of knowledge, sending a basic payload into space should be like commercial air travel !

So what is wrong with our space technology ? The answer is : Nations would rather spend billions on weapons to protect themselves against fellow human. Why ? Because once you let your guards down, the people who are more power hungry than you, will snatch away your freedom by force !

So whose fault ? Put the brain on our gene, as human is engineered with DNA called "Greed" plus a host of other bad inert abilities that oneself cannot control when they go berserk !

SpaceX Starship first touchdown

SpaceX Starship 3rd ITF is likely in later part of March 2024, looking forward to the first successful touchdown of the both booster and Starship !  Controlling the engine sufficiently would be critical to achieving the landing either on land or at sea based platform.  Looking to see the first payload by the 5 or 6th launch. If the 3rd test can see the Starship coming back for a controlled landing, then progress should be fast. Should see at least 4 to 5 Starship flights or test in 2024.

Human need to move away from combustion engine

With the current technology, it’s difficult for human to think about moving away from combustion engine. It’s the only way they can think of that will generate sustainable energy to travel over distances! Generating sustainable energy without burning too much fuel is always the issue with transportation over significant distances! Or perhaps the fuel source is the issue with human travel!
