8 billion for 3 Frigates??

8 billion is a lot of money to spend on 3 advanced warships, this money probably can buy 12 or 14 capable ships in less than 10 years! 

A naval program that takes 15-20 years to complete is not meaningful anymore, the advancement during made during this period in modern era would make the ships obsolete!

Decision makers are not thinking right, things become obsolete in a much faster pace than anyone can imagined.

People are easily mesmerised by some sweet talking “experts” and over looking so many more pressing issues.  Money spent on weapons are not to fight aggressive aliens from another world, but to fight other neighbouring earthlings.
