Private Space Venture

Recently, private space venture seems to generate more news than national space agencies. When such topics arises, the focus automatically falls on Space X ! And indeed it has been in the news, most recently on Jan 17, 2016 launching a satellite but failing to land on a barge in the ocean. It succeeded once on land in Dec 2015, becoming the 1st rocket to land its 1st stage after delivering a payload into orbit. Elon Musk is working to cut the launch cost by up to 40 percent by recovering the first stage of his rocket for reuse. It is indeed a remarkable achievement, all this done with private fund. Imagine what would have happen if he has the fund that some space agency has ? But then, he might not be that hungry for success if he has funding like those agencies. Imagine landing a 10 storey high rocket with the power it has, it's almost unimaginable! Space X is ramping up rocket production this year, next lunch is 2-3 weeks away and it will lunch a rocket every 2-3 weeks. If it launch once a month, it will be enough to put all the national agencies to shame. It's Just a private firm with 5000 staffs and a CEO without a aeronautical degree!

Landing a huge first stage on land is an achievement, wait till the 1st stage land successfully on the robot ship.
