Fairings Recovery

The so call fairings are the covering for the payload on a rocket into space. Instead of falling away from the main final stage vehicle, it could perhaps be made to open up like a shell for payload launch and close up after payload launch. It could then be separated from the single Merlin engine and fall back into the atmosphere and slow down by firing thrusters already built into the fairings before falling into the net on Mr Steven.

SpaceX Starship 3rd ITF is likely in later part of March 2024, looking forward to the first successful touchdown of the both booster and Starship !  Controlling the engine sufficiently would be critical to achieving the landing either on land or at sea based platform.  Looking to see the first payload by the 5 or 6th launch. With the current technology, it’s difficult for human to think about moving away from combustion engine. It’s the only way they can think of that will generate sustainable energy to travel over distances! Generating sustainable energy without burning too much fuel is always the issue with transportation over significant distances! Or perhaps the fuel source is the issue with human travel!

SpaceX Starship 4th IFT 6 June 2024

SpaceX is targeting to launch the 4th IFT of Starship today 6 June 2024 at 8.50 am ET. We hope to see the first stage reach a soft landing or splash down in the Gulf of Mexico and the Starship simulate a landing in the Indian Ocean if everything goes according to plan. The test just completed, both the Superheavy and Starship made it back in 1 piece, what an amazing feats!
