SpaceX Starship progress in 2023

 SpaceX Starship did reached orbit of around 150km during the 2nd Test flight on 18 Nov 2023. It was unfortunate that the Starship had to be given a self destruct command to terminate its flight due to lost of telemetry! It had overcome the most difficult part of stage separation and igniting the starship’s six engine in flight! 

Not sure why it was mentioned as lost of telemetry as the reason for having to destroy it! Controlling Starship should have been a simple task, probably due to engine control failure!

Hopefully the 3rd test flight would see Starship do at least 1 full orbit or do a re-entry attempt!

SpaceX Starship 3rd ITF is likely in later part of March 2024, looking forward to the first successful touchdown of the both booster and Starship !  Controlling the engine sufficiently would be critical to achieving the landing either on land or at sea based platform.  Looking to see the first payload by the 5 or 6th launch. Human need to move away from combustion engine

With the current technology, it’s difficult for human to think about moving away from combustion engine. It’s the only way they can think of that will generate sustainable energy to travel over distances! Generating sustainable energy without burning too much fuel is always the issue with transportation over significant distances! Or perhaps the fuel source is the issue with human travel!

SpaceX Starship 4th IFT 6 June 2024

SpaceX is targeting to launch the 4th IFT of Starship today 6 June 2024 at 8.50 am ET. We hope to see the first stage reach a soft landing or splash down in the Gulf of Mexico and the Starship simulate a landing in the Indian Ocean if everything goes according to plan. The test just completed, both the Superheavy and Starship made it back in 1 piece, what an amazing feats!
