Falcon 9 Landing on Barge Jan 2016

Saw the landing of Falcon 9 on the barge, the main issue is clearly the decelation was too fast too late and the engine control burn. They need to reduce the speed of rocket coming down a little more and I guess the main engine is too powerful to control it like on a fighter jet vector trust engine. If the control of the engine is better, I guess it should work. I think the flow of the fuel to the engine can be slower to reduce the thrust of the engine thus reducing the speed of the rocket coming down.

I hope the deceleration of the engine start at least 10 seconds earlier to allow more time to reduce the speed further.

Another way is to build at least 4 robotic arms that have elongated curve surface that extend up to the rocket when it's about 1 metre from the landing pad that can at least prevent it from toppling over.
