SpaceX to up its Starlink launch cadence in 2020

SpaceX is going to up its launch cadence for Starlink in 2020, with the 1st Starlink launch on 4 Jan 2020. It’s going to be a record breaking year for SpaceX if everything goes according to plan. Humanity needs some big exciting things to happen to make life meaningful!

10Km run at Yio Chu Kang Stadium Singapore

Completed 25 laps 10km at Yio Chu Kang Stadium, Singapore, in a time of 51min 39.4sec. Average lap time 2min 3.976sec. My legs felt fine all the way, but my breathing can be improved, felt winded. I tried to not to let the negative thoughts slow me down today. I was conscious of how my body, legs, felt throughout the whole run, but I had a slight issue with my breathing. Although it was not as though I could not catch my breath, but I kept having a winded feeling. Could have push a bit more in the last 600-800m to get a better time.

SpaceX 13th Launch 2019

SpaceeX completed her 13th successful mission of 2919 on 16 Dec 2019.  The payload was a approximately 6.9 ton satellite for Singapore/Japan customer to geostationary orbit. The first stage booster B1056.3 made a successful landing on one of its drone ship (OCISLY) in the Atlantic Ocean. There will be another launch on 31 Dec 2019 for Starlink 3 with another 60 satellites.

Marathon running is hard

Marathon is hard for the everyday runners who are slow like me. I struggled to finish at the Singapore  Standard Chartered Marathon on 30 November 2019, because I did not put in enough mileage during training. The body need to learn to get used to the distance, it needs to go through the tiredness and the pain barrier as well. Although I did not really stopped running for any stretch of more than 15 seconds, I was just really shuffling very slowly. There is no shortcut to running, you just need to put the body through the paces.

Singapore SCB Marathon 2019

Overcame the DNF fear finally, completed my 14th marathon on 30 Nov 2019, Saturday, in a time of 5 hours 34min 57sec. Although it’s not a good time, I am happy I completed another marathon. I am glad I did not end running marathon with a DNF. The farthest I had gone was about 2hours20minutes before the race, I had to really tell my body not to stop for more than 20-30 sec at any one point. My slow run became more like a brisk walk, but it’s still better than totally loose the momentum by really walking. It was like 9min per km vs 11-12min per km, I would have ended up beyond 6 hours. Now I am thinking should I join Sundown marathon in 2020 ?

Singapore Standard Chartered Marathon 2019

The Singapore Standard Chartered Marathon is taking place today, 30 Nov 2019 Saturday, 6pm. This is the first time the Singapore SCB marathon is being held in the evening, hopefully this will help us achieve better finishing time. Personally I have not done sufficient training, I just hope I run to the best of my fitness and ability. The race is starting in 2hr25min time.

SpaceX 11th mission 2019

SpaceX completed its 11th mission of the year on 11 Nov 2019, it was a Starlink mission carrying 60 Starlink satellites to orbit. It was the the 78th Falcon rocket and the 76th successful launch. The first stage B1048 was launched for the 4th time and recovered for the 4th time.

10km run on 8 Nov 2019 Friday

I just completed 25 laps of 400m at the Yio Chu Kang stadium in a time of 52min30.6sec according to my Suunto watch. I was quite surprised by the time as I did not look at the lap time at all today. Although it was not fast by any standard, I was surprised because I was not feeling good at all throughout the run. I just wanted to finish the run to clock some distance. It was even faster than the 8km run at the same stadium yesterday. Average lap time was 2min6.024sec and average per km was 5:15. My timing did not worsen as I though it would, I just did not feel good during the run.

8km run on 7 Nov 2019 Thursday

I just completed a 8 km run at the Yio Chu Kang Stadium, 20 laps of 400m of the oval, in a time of 42min34.2sec. Average time per lap was 2min7.71sec. Although not a fast time, I was exhausted and is still perspiring profusely. My training is not going too well, and my timing is going nowhere as well. The SCB marathon is coming up on 30 Nov 2019 Saturday evening 6pm start. I am aiming for a 5 hour finishing time and I need to be quite focus to be able to complete in 5 hours. I only had like 3 run of 20km up till now in the last 2 months. I will try my best to finish well!!

East Asia Financial Centre losing its Shine

The ongoing unrest in One of Asia premium financial centres will lead to its fall from grace! It is going to happen, with or without the current unrest. What they are asking for, is not going to happen. They are just going to lose their shine at a accelerated rate with what they are doing. It is just unwise on their part, and they are just going to make the ordinary citizens suffer hardship. They should think wisely, but with the kind of attitude that can be seen, it’s not happening.

Big Bang Theory is just a Theory

It is hard to imagine “a thing” that popped out of nowhere to explain “everything “! A super condensed dot, that exploded to be become everything.  Please do not ask where it came from.

What if the UK has persue its Space Program?

The R4, the fourth Black Arrow Rocket was launched on 1 April 1972, and successfully place a 125kg payload into a 500km orbit. This could have been in the news if the UK had continued with its own space program, but it was cancelled to save money. What do you think could have been the impact on the UK as a whole if the space program had progressed successfully?

The World need a bigger purpose to live in peace

A world threatening event will be needed to give earthlings a common goal! But, the killing will go on, as survival instinct kick in. People will be scrambling for food and safety, in the process killing those who are less capable of taking care of themselves.. Human nature seems to be the culprit of all the killings! Maybe human should put the blame on the creator for creating a living thing with so many flaws! What is the purpose for a faulty creation ?

Prometheus 2012

I just rewatched the 2012 movie Prometheus on cable tv in Singapore. The quest for origin of life became a journey of death. I am more attracted by the technology, spacecraft and space exploration, rather than the search for the origin of life. I think the creature they found are a living organism nightmare, rather the beauty of living things. The. Human in the movie are rather arrogant and adventurous in a reckless way. I do not think at our current rate of technical progress, human can even come close to physically getting to Pluto by 2093, maybe possible by 2300 or beyond to leave our own solar system.

Why Humans have not met other life forms?

Because nobody wants to befriend a race that kills its own kind. Humans are likely considered as low life not worth having a second look. But then, anyone at your doorstep from another star system would be way more advanced than human and could probably wipe out earth with little effort.

Singapore has no IAAF standard Indoor track and Field facility

Why is Singapore not building one ? It can help to boost standard of athletics, in the warm weather country.

Why are human killing each other ?

Majority of humans are just not thinking in the correct way, resulting in so much self inflicted hardship for their fellow earthlings! This goes to show that their educational system is not effective in developing thinking humans! No matter how they think highly of their intellectual abilities, do not matter, they do not know that they are getting their priorities wrong. They resort to killing each other when they cannot resolve their differences. Those at the leadership position abuses their authorities for selfish personal agenda. If those leaders do not think and execute for the common good of their people, then their world would always be in self inflicted chaos!

Space Station need a workshop

Rather than to launch a fully functional space craft, why not build a workshop to assemble small spacecraft at the ISS ? Another small station should be put up, and start practicing docking and undocking, till it’s like a normal bus ride. Human need to get the basic space travel right, before thinking about going to Mars or Moon.

Best option for Royal Navy

Naval commanders and government think too much, the hardware will not appear using mind power! Build a couple of 80 metres long patrol vessels with guns and missiles, in double quick time to resolve the patrol issue in the gulf. Should not be a problem for a former naval powerhouse!! Think simple, complicated stuff takes time and money !

Space Exploration is for Private Venture

Space exploration is best for the fearless private enterprises, as it involves lots of risk takings! No point wasting precious taxpayers money, and the investigation needed after a failed launch or mission just takes forever. No pain, no gain, nothing is avoidable if it’s going to happen anyway. This world is supposed to be unpredictable.

How soon can SpaceX Starship Hopper reach 1km ?

SpaceX is a innovative and daring company, I believed they can reach even a few km with the Starship prototypes by end of this year and reach orbit by end of next year.

The Fluctuation in any Economy is normal

All human should be aware of such fluctuations, government should view fluctuations as normal. Do not put fear in people and make things worst.

12.36km Run 2 July 2019

Completed a 12.36km Run in 1 hour 8min 29sec around the Marina bay to Barrage and Garden by the bay east.

SpaceX 8th mission of 2019

SpaceX has completed 7 launches to date, 6 Falcon launches and 1 Falcon Heavy. The next launch will be a Falcon Heavy on 24 Jun 2019, it is going be a night launch. This the 3rd Heavy launch, and the first carrying multiple satellites. To be exact, it is 24 small satellites. It’s called STP2 and it’s a US Airforce mission.

Problem of Crypto Currencies

The biggest problem is that they come of out nowhere and people start driving the price up based on rumours and false optimism! Is it a company dealing with some previous material or a revolutionary technology? Almost none of them are link to anything revolutionary, even the biggest name is not reliable. The blame should go to the governments for allowing such a thing to go on and even trade at all. People now just playing follow the leader, hoping that their token go from 0 to 20000 dollars ! The next worst thing is everyone is now trying to join the ICO party, hoping it goes from 0 to a figure a few hundred percent higher!  Not sure why so many people are optimistic about such electronics dollar. This is just pure speculation and it can disappear overnight or the next second as proven by coin exchanges that were hacked and losses millions worth of coin.

New Balance MCRUZKB2 First Run

I bought a new pair of New Balance MCRUZKB2 on 26 May 2019, Sunday(Singapore). I thought it looks nice with the wrap around mesh, and the black and grey colour scheme. Although it’s a pair of running shoes, I was thinking of using it as a casual shoes as I did not have very high hope of it performing well for running. I have been wearing Adidas Adizero series for years, but they are hard to get in Singapore nowadays. I went for a run at the stadium today, 27 May 2019 Monday. I did a 5km in about 26:14, and I must say the shoes exceed my expectation. It was comfortable, light and it feels natural when I was running. I think it was better when I was running at a faster speed. I was telling my colleague this afternoon that I wish I could get some surprises from this pair of shoes, and I did really get a surprise!

SpaceX Starlink satellites launch 16 May 2019

This launch will be an interesting one if SpaceX pull it off successfully!  60 Satellites of their own ....!!

Human just like to kill each other

Recent bombing events just proved again that human just like to kill each other because they are different from each other. So why human still insist to group themselves into different beliefs and interests groups? So that they can get at each other? Human just need to wake up to the reality of this little planet and their selfish mind!!

Falcon Heavy Lift Off 11 April 2019

SpaceX Falcon Heavy lift off from Launch Complex 39A Florida an hour ago at 6.35 pm EDT. The pay load was the Arabsat 6A, a telecommunication satellite weighing more than 6,000 kg for Saudi Arabia. The 2 side boosters separated from the core 2min37sec into flight and a minute later the core booster separated. The 2 side boosters landed at landing zone LZ1 and LZ2 7min45sec into the mission. About 2min later at 9min45sec into the mission, the core booster landed on the drone ship Of Course I Still Love You in the Atlantic Ocean. This is the first time all 3 boosters landed successfully. And, of course the Arabsat 6A was inserted into a successful orbit on its way to GTO! What an amazing mission which put SpaceX way ahead in terms of reusable space launch technology an cost saving.

2nd Falcon Heavy 9 April 2019

SpaceX 2nd Falcon Heavy launch is taking place on the 11 April 2019 if all proceed without any further delays. All 3 boasters coming back to land, 2 of them side boosters at LZ1 and LZ2, the centre core on OCISLY.

Can Human put aside their differences!

Yes, No, Maybe.....! Human need to put this issue away, in order for them to advance to the next level. Human nature is deterring human to live peacefully with each other. Human need to evolve by eliminating evil thoughts that has been constantly harassing the mind to err.

Yuki Kawauchi 8th Lake Biwa Marathon

Yuki Kawauchi finished 8th at the Lake Biwa Mainichi Marathon in 2 hours 9minutes 21 seconds, 10 Mar 2019.

Human can have peace

Human can attain peace when they stop killing each other! Education curriculum can add this subject and work towards this objective. It’s difficult but it should start somewhere.

SpaceX 2nd Launch of 2019

SpaceX completed its 2nd launch of 2019 on 22 Feb, launch time 1.45 am local time from SLC-40 Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. Payload consists of 3 items, 1 Indonesia private satellite, 1 micro satellite for the US Air Force and a Israeli Lunar lander called Beresheet. If successful, Israel will be become the 4th country to land a spacecraft on the moon. It’s only weighed less than 600kg including fuel and will reach the moon on its own power in 2 months time. The block 5 first stage B1048.3 was launched for a 3rd time and landed a 3rd time on a drone ship, demonstrating SpaceX recoverable space technology.

SpaceX made NASA looks redundant

The pace that SpaceX is making progress made NASA looks redundant. Imagine SpaceX making a landing on the moon before NASA ! Embarrassing right ? Anyway, this looks to be imminent, NASA is so risk averse and full of red tape. They cannot get things done in the new economy. Advancement in space technology is no longer dominated by the government anymore in this new age. Risk taking is necessary in space exploration, you can seat at home if you are afraid to take risk. No pain, no gain, just as simple as that. It’s a harsh environment, you cannot predict what will happen, you need to get out there to experience it. Nothing beats going out there to test out all the critical systems!

Don’t waste money on multi-billion defence plan!!

Its already obselete before you build it, a few drones,  it can emerge anywhere to destroy your billion dollar platform!! The plan is flexibility, not impenetrable ability.

Space scientists is all talk but no proof

Space scientists can keep arguing but no one can proof that what they say is the truth. It’s a waste of time keeping going over the same topic knowing that there is no outcome. Scientists should be less ambitious and start solving less complicated issues first. Do not waste resources doing something that they cannot comprehend and start doing something useful to the advancement of the human race.

Humans are constrained by their weak mind

Humans are always coerced to do things that are generally incorrect, because they cannot control their actions. The logical way is never achieved by the general population because most humans cannot distinguish between right and wrong! The evil side of their mind tend to often win over their good portion of their mind. These poor people do not know what is wrong with their own mind, always fighting their evil thoughts but never seems to be winning.

Too much authority is a bad bad thing!

Human never learn from all that is happening around the little earth! Too much authority is a bad bad thing, when not in check! Earthlings, please wake up soon..... It’s the same everywhere, don’t let a single party rule the country or a single company dominate an industry! Don’t become a price taker, you can’t negotiate!

5.2km run at Yck stadium 28 Jan 2019 Monday

Completed a 5.2km run the stadium nearby, 13 laps of standard 400m track in a time of 27min51.8 sec. Average time of 2min8.6sec. I injured my legs last Apr 2018, but I did not consult any doctor, so it took a long time to heal. I think the nerve or ligament was out of place, so I tried to rest it for a month and did my own massage with deep heat cream. My running volume was cut back to almost zero km during the month of May 2018. Only got back to running late August 2018.

Risk is inherent in space exploration, regulator only slow progress

They delay progress by a huge magnitude, wasting time and money! You need practical experience from all the failed launches and all the difficulties encountered from near earth flights to solve more complicated issues that will surface in long duration expedition.

Easier way to get out of Earth?

The current way of getting out of earth is a wasteful exercise! Is there a easier way to leave earth ? Or are humans  just way too primitive to learn the correct way? If this correct way is not achieved, human will never be a space faring race! Human need to think out of the box, they are so boxed in by the science that they think is correct!

Human need to stop craving for power

Do human really need a leader to live in a organised society? People in power often misused their power to benefit themselves! Human race is moving towards a big brother society, which is not good for the man in the street. Orwellian prediction coming true, bad for the world!

SpaceX First mission of 2019 completed

SpaceX launched the first mission of the year 2019 at 7.31 am local time Vandanberg AFB. The Falcon 9 with block 5 boaster B1049.2 successfully lifted 10 Iridium Next-8 satellites totalling 9600kg to LEO polar orbit. This is the final and 8th launches for Iridium over the past 2 years, deploying 75 satellites in total. The first stage made a successful 2nd landing on the drone ship OCISLU in the Pacific Ocean, the 33rd successful landing for the company out of 40. This same boaster landed the First time on 10 Sep 2018.
